In that time, his architectural projects have won notable design awards and been featured in numerous publications. In addition to his professional design work, he sat as a board member on the Newport Historic District Commission for 5 years. Chris is an Associate member of the (AIA) American Institute of Architects.
Beyond traditional architecture, Chris has worked in the film industry, as a professional set designer and art director for feature films and television. His credited film design work can be seen on Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and Disney. (CHRIS FAGAN IMDB) Much of Chris’s recent Art Directing work has been done during pre-production for 3D visualization, cost analysis and construction budgeting. He is a member of US829 or the Scenic Designers Union and currently sits on the Innovation and Technology Committee.
In 2016 Chris Fagan co-founded a marine technology company called PowerDocks LLC. The company designed and built the world's first commercially available line of solar electric dock units, under the product name "Blue Isles™". The floating micro-grid platforms were constructed to collect, store and redistribute renewable energy. They could be used to generate significant amounts of off-grid power for marinas, ports, moorings and robotic systems. In 2021 Chris Fagan sold PowerDocks LLC.
Chris is an alumni of Skidmore College where he earned undergraduate degrees in both Studio Art and Anthropology. He also holds a Masters degree in Urban Design and Planning from the City University of New York, City College.
